Ingredients Required To Prepare The Cake

Oil

Six medium size eggs

100grams of plain yogurt

50ml of milk

450grams of butter

459grams of golden caster sugar

One lemon zest (grated)

450grams of raising flour

Three tablespoons of elderflower cordial

250grams of softened butter

300grams of fat cheese cream

700grams of icing sugar

One lemon zest(grated)

Fresh flowers

How To Make A Wedding Cake?

Step One

Firstly preheat the oven at 160C. Take a 20cm baking cake tins and line the base with parchment paper. Next, grease the sides with oil. Take a jug and mix the milk, yogurt, and eggs. In another large bowl combine the sugar and butter with an electric whisk. One the mixture gets fluffy, and lightly adds the flour and liquid in the jug along with some lemon zest. Please remix it to get a smooth texture. Next, divide the mixture into cans and bake it for forty minutes.

The second step is to prepare the elderflower mixture. Firstly, make a mixture of lemon juice and cordial of the elderflower. By this time the cakes bake. To check if it cooks appropriately, pokes the cake surface with a toothpick. Gently add the elderflower syrup and the lemon over the cake. Keep it in the tins to cool it down. Then, you can wrap it and keep for three days.

Step Three

The third step is to prepare the icing. By using an electric hand whisk, beat the butter to get a smooth texture. Then add half of the icing sugar and mix it. You can whisk it again to prevent the formation of sugar clouds. Then add the cream cheese, icing sugar, and lemon zest together. Remix it until it forms a smooth texture.

Step Four

Finally, place the cakes on the top of a cake stand by icing each layer of the cake. Add the remaining of the icing on top of the cake. Next, gently spread the frosting with a palette knife from top to bottom. If you find any patches on the cake, go ahead and cover it with the icing. Finally, the cake is ready. You can decorate it with fresh flowers.
